Timeline: Takes
place after S3 and replaces S4.
Synopsis:
After finding her mother in Rwanda,
Shirley Holmes continues to investigate the mysteries in the Canadian city
of Redington with her friend Bo Sawchuck. Blake Hewitt, son of an
Interpol inspector and a well-known archeologist, joins them on their cases.
Complications arise when Shirley becomes attracted to the newcomer while
Bo struggles with his own feelings for his best friend.
Although Molly Hardy is still around
to plague the teen detective, a new evil has manifested itself. After
being exposed by the great-grandniece of Sherlock Holmes during a failed
scheme to transfer the stolen Mona Lisa to a client, the shadowy mercenary
organization ENIGMA wants her dead, and it will employ any means to achieve
this goal, including dispatching its most dangerous agents, the Elite Eight,
to Redington.
Fortunately for Shirley, new allies
come in the form of the Strangers' Club, a group devoted to investigating
unusual phenomena using a variety of hi-tech devices. Bart James
becomes a member, giving Shirley a link to the group, which sports members
capable of taking on the Elite Eight. As mysterious as ENIGMA, the
Strangers pique Shirley's interest, and she eventually understands the
group's activities and its other aspects.
Now Shirley and her friends find
themselves fighting against the most
powerful criminal organization
in the world. Gradually she begins to wonder if there is more to
ENIGMA, but only its leader, Mr. E, knows for sure.
Variations:
The characters are more or less
similar to their real selves on the show, but some differences exist.
For example, Bo develops feelings for Shirley, and Molly suffers mentally
after her encounter with ENIGMA.
